各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

新的學年又開始，不知不覺今年我在LTY已經進入第五個年頭。若要我用一些形容詞去表達這些年的心情，我會用：刺激、感恩、辛勞、喜悅、試煉。相信大家由內至外也覺得LTY正在改變中，我們會繼續努力。

A new academic year starts, I have been working in LTY for the fifth years. If I use some adjectives to describe the feeling I have, I will use the words like, exciting, thankful, tough, joyful and to be tested. I believe that all of you can see and feel LTY changing in both internally and externally. We will keep this spirit up.

由於九月份的感染個案較多，我們也作出了預防的措施，例如早會及小息均於課室內進行，雖然同學們不能在操場小息，但仍享受在課室與同學交談、玩玩小遊戲小息，藉此與同學建立良好的關係。至於開學日校長的話則改為直播，十分有趣。

The infected cases were increased again in September. We have set certain precautions such as morning assembly is held in the classroom. Although students can not go to playground for the recess, they can enjoy chatting with classmates in the classroom, playing minor games which can build up good relationships with others. Principal speech was addressed through live broadcasting, it was interesting.

九月三日(六)，一如以往，到學校附近的一所中學，向區內幼稚園家長推介本校，參加的人數比往年多，各人都十分專心聆聽，之後也有提問。這幾年LTY有著不同的改變，當然是越變越好！我們會繼續努力！

On Saturday, 3rd September 2022, it was exactly the same that I went to a secondary school nearby for promoting our school to the parents of K3. Lots of people joined compared with last year. They were not just attentive and they asked questions afterwards. People want to know more about LTY because we have changed a lot and lots of people want to know more about LTY. It is touching.

九月十日是中秋節。今年的月亮又大又圓，但亦打破了百多年最熱九月份的紀錄。中秋的意思是已經到了秋天的中間時段，理應涼快一點，可惜白天仍有30多度的高溫。中秋節的幾天假期，副校長及主任們到了屯門和田邨派發傳單，宣傳學校，希望更多街坊認識LTY。雖然和田邨距離學校有點遠，我嘗試乘計程車回校，所需時間約15分鐘，如乘搭校車，有其他上落點，亦應該可在30分鐘內到校。事實上，乘搭校車回校也是一種學習經歷。

On Saturday, 10th September 2022 was the Mid-Autumn Festival. The moon was round and big. However, it was the hottest in September which broke the record. Mid-Autumn Festival means the autumn has been to the middle, it should be cool with chilly wind. Almost the temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius. During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, vice principal and other senor teachers when to Wo Tin Estate to give out the pamphlets for school promotion. It is hoped that more people know LTY. Indeed, the distance between LTY and Wo Tin Estate is a bit far. I took taxi to go back school to work. It was about 15 minutes. If you take school bus which need to have more stations, I think it spends 20 minutes to school. In fact, taking school bus to go to school is another kind of learning experience.

九月十五日(四)是一年一度的敬師日慶典暨表揚狀頒發典禮，今年度由吳美華副校長獲獎，當天她出席了頒獎典禮，令她喜出望外是在現場遇到很多舊同學，真是一個難得的相聚機會。

On Thursday, 15th September 2022 was Teachers’ Day and Commendation Certificate Presentation Ceremony, our Vice Principal Ms. NG Mei Wah was awarded. She attended the ceremony and she felt very happy because she met lots of former colleagues. It was a treasurable moment to meet.

九月十七日(六)是今年度的第一次開放日。今年的主題為「普」、「泡」、「抱」嘉年華，在構思活動時，我們希望有不同元素突顯學校的特色。「普」-這幾年，我們大力推動不同的新興運動，同學們在不同的運動範疇發揮所長；在藝術的發展方面，我們安排學生參加不同的比賽及參觀不同的展覽，將運動及藝術「普」及化；「泡」-教育局也正式宣佈，藝術已經在今年正式加入在STEM之中，成為STEAM。我校已經有多年推動科技素養的經驗。是次開放日，我們加入製作「泡」泡的科學元素；「抱」近年，價值教育是教育界的重點發展，當中要培養學生十個價值觀。其中一項是關愛，LTY以「愛心的小學」著名，希望我們「抱」著一種關愛別人及自己的心態，與人好好相處，令學校、令世界更美。因此，今年的開放日主題為「普」、「泡」、「抱」嘉年華。在泡泡表演時段，在舞台前，人山人海，十分熱鬧。

On Saturday, 17th September 2022 was the first Open Day in this academic year. The theme was “Accessible, Bubble, Cuddle Carnival. When I constructed this Open Day, I wanted to find out the elements to show the school’s strength. In the previous years, we promote newly emerged sports to give chances for students to develop their potential. Also, we promote arts to encourage students to join various competitions and visit different venues to broaden their horizons. STEAM is confirmed to implement in the new curriculum. In this Open Day, we wanted our students to know how to make bubble by themselves. Of course, we invited a performer to use bubble to perform. Values Education is newly launched with 10 core values introduced. LTY is a loving school and we hope we can give cuddle to other which represents showing love and care to others. All of us we so happy and excited because lots of people came to watch the show and played the booths.

看到各人都十分投入參加各項活動，每一個人臉上也掛上一個笑容，雖然大家也戴上口罩，但他們的笑容也從眼部及笑聲流露出來了。最開心是今年有很多幼稚園的學生及家長來參加，他們亦表示想再深入了解學校的情況。當然我們在校的學生、家長、校友也十分支持學校，每次的開放日，都好像一個團聚的活動。祝大家今年學業猛進、身體健康。

It was so happy to see everyone was so engaged to play and you can see their smiling faces. Although everyone needs to wear a mask, their laughter was shown on their eyes. It was glad to have numbers of K3 students to come and join us. It was so touching that our own students, parents and alumni came back to support us. Open Day became a gathering. Wishing all of you have a good result in the examinations with good health.
